Privacy
The short version: we collect as little as we can, we do not sell it, and you can see it, withdraw consent, download it or delete it whenever you like.
What we collect
Your name, a phone number or email to sign in with, your board, grade and language, and what you do while learning — lessons opened, questions answered, concepts mastered. That last part is the product: without it we cannot tell you what to study next.
What we deliberately do not collect
No location or GPS, no caste, no income, no contacts, and no permanent record of a student's raw network address. We do not want this data, so we do not ask for it and there is nowhere in the system to put it.
Children and guardians
Accounts for children under 18 require a verified guardian. Guardians see effort and mastery, not a log of everything their child did. What a guardian can see is visible to the child too — nothing is hidden from the person being reported on.
Who else sees your data
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising. Service providers who process it on our behalf — hosting, messaging, payments — are bound to use it only for that purpose. Where we report impact to a funder, it is aggregate figures, never an individual child.
Analytics
We measure how the product is used with our own system, on our own servers. There are no third-party analytics or advertising trackers anywhere on Padhaai, and this is locked so it cannot be changed by a configuration edit.
How long we keep things
Learning history stays while your account exists, because your progress depends on it. Security and audit records are kept for a bounded period and then removed. If you ask us to delete your account, we do.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act you can access your data, correct it, withdraw consent, and ask for erasure. All of it is self-service in Settings under Privacy, and we respond within 30 days.
